Trashed

I was doing some shopping in a great area called Tableau, and happened to see a starfish(just out of shot) that was stranded in a garbage can....no, i'm not making this up.

Of course, being curious, ok some might say nosy as hell,I clicked on it. Harmless enough you'd think. I thought maybe it was some cute scripted thing that talked to you if you clicked it as you often find throughout your adventures in Second Life. Well, it was scripted all right!

it threw me in the trash! And as my avatar squirmed and wriggled trying to get out of the trash can, I coudln't help but laugh and think to myself that someone has an awesome sense of humor in this game, and i was impressed yet again!

It's not only the huge amazingly detailed builds that should get credit, sometimes it's the little details that someone hopes you'll happen to be nosy enough to come across that just might make you think: "Hmmm...that 's awesome!"

So check out Tableau the next time you're in Second Life, it's got some fun stuff and great designers!

I thought this was a great way to show off some cool photos! And it looks more professional than anything i've been able to do so far! haha! I'm easily impressed i guess. Yay for slideshows!!

Relay For Life in Second Life

"What is the Second LifeĀ® Relay for Life (SLRFL)?

It's a volunteer-driven effort to hold an American Cancer Society Relay For Life event in the Second LifeĀ® world. It's a walk-a-thon in cyberspace, where SL residents gather, camp out, dance, donate money and of course walk our custom built track that encompasses the 96 acre park. "

-from the American Cancer Society's webpage

Well, there ya go, another example of how real life can be represented and havea positive impact on our world within this virtual world that we love. I had a peek at this, although i was too late to partake in the actual relay in SL this year, but it was fantastic looking! The build itself was really a sight to see. They had many different countries/themes represented and it was just fun to walk through it to see what was next. The fact that people volunteered to create the project, take part in it in world, and then the generousity of those within SL helped to raise $40,000USD is just amazing and warms the cockles of your heart. Good on ya!

Every time I go on SL i find something new, creative or just fascinating, and this is just one of many that are doing good for real life as well as entertaining people in their second lives.

Halloween Party at The Clock Tower

We do love a party! Looking forward to our big Halloween event with prizes for best costume. I can't wait to see what people come up with for their costumes. Since it's kind of like Halloween every day it may be just another day in Second Life, although somehow i doubt it! I haven't quite decided what my costume will be yet, but there's time to browse the shops to find something spooky and sexy all in one! That's my goal i think. Ha!

Nonprofit Presence

I came across an called "Change the World by Working in a Virtual One", which i found really worth reading. I've often thought of the many uses Second Life has other then strictly on an entertainment level. Not just on a commercial level either, Artists, musicians, Universities as well as various other organizations are creating a presence within this virtual world. They see the huge possibilities available in world and are doing their best to make the most of this.

Boy oh boy, do I wish I could find a way to have a real impact. Of course I enjoy the social aspect of it, and I'm sure I always will, but to have a real meaningful impact on others through the medium of this virtual world would be truly amazing. I'll keep thinking about ways to achieve this rather huuuuge dream of mine. Hehe

Awesome tatts!

These are some damn fine tattoos/body graffiti done by Canimal and they are superb! There is some amazing body art available in world. Makes it possible to be creative yourself and express your mood at a moments notice, using tattoos as jewellry really. I love it!

This is me in my punky, kick ass, laced-up-leather sort of mood.

Of course, you have to always be on the look out for more fabulous tatts to add to the collection.....just like clothes and hair! There's always shopping to be done, and yes that sounds so cliche, but let me tell you, i never shop this much in real life, so let me have my second life shopping sprees to make up for it!!!

Hangin' Around with Bert

You meet some awesome people in your Second Life, and Bert is one that I met in my first few weeks online. We "hang around" when we can, hehe, and it's always a good time.

It's nice to know that you can meet some really cool people in Second Life....it helps to balance out the numerous nutters/nymphos that you meet! Ha!

Chin, Chin, here's to more fun with bert!!

Halloween!!

Oh I do love Halloween! We've decked the club out in true Halloween style with a variety of pumpkins, mangled stumps & dead things. The items are mainly great freebies picked up in my travels and items donated by our friends. It's put me in the trick-or-treating mood, and damn i wish i was still 8 years old! I'd love to dress up as a creepy-crawly thing and scare everyone as i trick-or-treated down the block, but no....can't do it as an adult.

This hayride is actually in an awesome graveyard made by Dizzy & Sammy. They must be some really creative people! And if you need to get yourself in the Halloween mood, what better way then to hang out here for a while?

Chess Anyone?

Like I've said before, Velmwend Pontipoppodon(something like that) is such a great builder, well I would say that wouldn't I? Even though I'm slightly biased, I'm sure you will agree with me once you see for yourself what he can build! He's got an eye for detail and can break down an object into the basic prims in no time! He built this classy Chess set, and it's a work of art in my opinion.....and it's just a board game, this isn't even his ACTUAL art work! You can see him on the board, the pieces are double "life" size, so he's the speck in the middle of the board. Pretty cool. If you like his stuff it can be seen/purchased(Yes, you heard me correctly.... purchased in game! Oh boy!) at The Clock Tower Shops.....why not spend some lindens to keep this starving artist eating his 3 square meals a day!

Ok, so it's not that dire, but it had you going for a second there.....and he's just one of many very talented people who create awesome stuff in game.

Some BDSM Fun!

Well, yes as most people assume, there is a lot of crazy BDSM/sex/whatnot going on in Second Life, and you know what? It's fun to experiment sometimes! There are places you can hang out(literally, hehe) and try out some crazy acts you'd never ever get the chance to experience in real life. I've seen some torturous, kinky, silky, studded fun in my short time in Second Life so far, and I hope there's more craziness to come!

To be fair, there are legitimate groups of people who come into Second Life to seriously explore something they enjoy in their real life as part of themselves, and they seek to educate people who are genuinely interested in this lifestyle, and then on the flipside there are the freaks who just want to muck around.

All in all, it keeps this Second Life interesting, that's for sure! And like I said before, if you're living a Second Life, you really can't be judgemental..... easier said then done, I know!

Birds eat in Second Life!

There are little cute birds that you can feed in a lovely little Artifically Intelligent area called Svarga. You buy the "bird food" for 1L(what about .002cents or something equally as small?) put it on the ground in the Svarga region and the birds come to eat! They are smart little virtual creatures, similar to the other little artificially intelligent beings in Svarga, they have a mind of their own. This area seems to be changing everytime you go! There are rainclouds that downpour when they are ready to, and flowers springing up & blooming where creatures have dropped seeds and the insects have pollinated them......however it works in real life, the designer of Svarga has immitated it in this fabulous virtual area! A work of art and ingenuity!

Amsterdam

Amsterdam exists in Second Life, and it's very similiar to real Amsterdam, well in so much as there is sex to be had & seen in all forms, lots of shopping, canals, houseboats, and some crazy people! Yes someone has been busy creating Amsterdam in Second Life, and it looks fabulous even when you're not interested in the sex!

These photos are yet another example of how you can do whatever you want and look however you want, and even carry a briefcase around like a silly yuppy......wearing hot pink thigh-high boots and a fabulous babydoll dress, ha!

DJ Velmwend

This is DJ Velmwend who is the fuzz at the Clock Tower, he keeps the peace, hehe. He's the proud builder of the club and a fine builder at that!

Second Life let's people realize their creative potential. Someone who spends their 9 to 5 doing office work can spend time in their Second Life as a creative genius. They finally get to show the world, all be it a virtual world, what fabulous creativity lies within them.

It also allows the average Joe(or Jane) to explore their innerself and try things they've never tried before in real life. One can choose to be a DJ, a pole-dancer, a model, a slave, a smurf, a butcher or whatever they can imagine, and sometimes all in one day! Even if you can't create it yourself, there is usually someone in the game who has either thought of it already and can sell it to you, or can help create it for you!

Always something new to try!
